About the event
The Market at Grelen and Real Food are excited to introduce our new Summer Dinner Series and invite you to indulge in an unforgettable evening of culinary delight at The Grelen Depot. Designed to have the ultimate "farm-to-table dinner party vibe," this event will take place in The Loft (on the 2nd floor) and promises to be an entertaining evening. The space's soft "retro" ambiance, coupled with the soulful melodies of live music, is sure to set the stage for relaxing evening filled with lively conversation. Enjoy seasonal passed appetizers, sip on a selection of Virginia wines, craft beers, and artisanal ciders from the cash bar as you get ready to savor the exquisite three-course meal that awaits.
Once seated for dinner, we will present a captivating first course created by Paul Deigl, Executive Chef of local catering company, Real Food. Each dish will showcase the freshest ingredients sourced directly from local farms. Delight your taste buds with a velvety corn soup, expertly crafted with oyster mushrooms and finished with a tantalizing brown butter drizzle. Accompanying this exquisite creation, we will offer a selection of homemade breads, served with roasted shallot butter. For the second course, prepare yourself for a culinary masterpiece. The porchetta takes center stage—a succulent citrus and herb rolled pork shoulder. Served with a delectable herb-caper sauce, cannellini beans, and a vibrant arugula salad, this dish embodies the harmony of flavors for which farm-to-table dining is celebrated. As the evening progresses, our talented Chef Paul unveils the final act—an enchanting third course that promises to leave a lasting impression. Indulge in a grilled peach tart, where perfectly ripe Grelen peaches take on a caramelized brilliance. Garnished with Grelen made Honey vanilla ice cream, fresh mint and crunchy pistachios, this dessert will burst with flavors that reflect the seasonal abundance of Central Virginia. Please join us at The Grelen Depot for an unforgettable evening. During cocktail hour, there will be a cash bar, but with dinner, each guest will be served a generous glass of local wine (red, white or rose) which is included in the ticket price. The passed appetizers, 3-course dinner and music are also included. $125/person or get 10% off when you reserve table of $8 ($900 - use discount code TABLE). Please note the $125 does include the 8% Orange food tax, but does not include the 5.3% VA sales tax. Max capacity is 48. If less than 24 guests sign-up, the event will be canceled. No refunds on cancellations within two weeks of the event.
